EXPLORE YOUR WILDERNESS
choir, workshops & yoga classes to create a beautiful life
WELCOME, FRIEND
The Elder Flower empowers you to live an abundant life.
We began as a community of women and nonbinary folks recovering from substance use, disordered eating, perfectionism, abuse, and more. Those early days were spent practicing yoga and sharing Sunday evenings together in the beautiful Slocan Valley.
What we discovered was profound: many women crave deeper connection—to themselves, to a circle of supportive women, to their creative side, to their authentic voice. Soon, women who weren't navigating substance use began joining Jennifer's offerings, drawn by the sense of belonging and community.
Now Jennifer facilitates gatherings with a broader community—people craving joy, connection, and her uniquely quirky way of bringing levity to meaningful work. The same tools and resources we use to create a life we don't need to medicate turn out to be exactly what people need while navigating our complex world.
In a divisive, isolating time, this truth has become crystal clear: we all long for connection.
Today, we offer a diverse range of services that may support your recovery journey or simply soothe your spirit. Here's what matters most: You don't have to qualify your belonging here.

We’re pleased to offer two autumn choirs: One near Nelson, One near Castlegar
Our Rivers & Roots Run Deep
This is the third season of us singing together, and something precious has formed: a group of women of diverse paths, arriving at this moment in deep time. Won’t you join us?
Our Shared Story
I’ve directed two ancestral choirs now, and the experience has been a balm to my spirit, awakening a hunger for a deep exploration with people who share my Eastern European roots. Every culture has folklore and songs that need to be brought to light. Will you join me?
“Move at the speed of trust.”

STORYTELLER, SEEKER, WATERFALL CHASER, SEES BEAUTY EVERYWHERE, ESPECIALLY IN YOU!
I’M JEN,
My ancestors lived in villages. I think it’s why I love bringing people together.
I am a storyteller, connector & creator.
I delight in bringing people together to co-create a place where we can tap into the wild of nature, find our voices and connect deeply.
I am obsessed with topics of Belonging and Community, fascinated by the work of teachers like Joanna Macy (The Work That Reconnects), Richard Rohr and Adrienne Maree Brown. I want to be an elder in my community who supports and contributes. I have connected with others who yearn for connection, belonging and recovery, too! This project began in my home studio, but it has expanded into several community spaces and continues to be shaped and informed by every person who practices here: students, teachers, therapists, gardeners, artisans, and musicians, working together to heal our land and our hearts. Welcome to the Elder Flower. We’re growing something special!

If you are curious about connecting with her and the community we've been building no need to hesitate. You will be welcomed with unconditional love, non-judgment, and a warm embrace (flaws and all). She has created a space that is nourishing and safe! Sincerely grateful to have such a genuine and inspiring teacher and friend. She is one of a kind!”

The Sharing Circle
Our stories dispel shame and help us realize that we have so much in common. They remind us how much we’ve grown, and show us that we are in this together.
Here are some of mine. Here are some of hers. Perhaps, you might share one of yours.
